BOSKALIS Subsea Services operations in Aberdeen will benefit from a new six-figure training contract with Maersk.
The company has signed a global agreement with Maersk Training, which also has a significant presence in the city of Granite.
The contract is for three years with an option to extend for two years.
Maersk will provide some of its training and skills solutions, including sea survival, health, safety and environment, diving operations and deck operations.
In addition to simulation and hands-on exercises and activities, part of the offering will also be provided through Maersk Training’s state-of-the-art e-learning suite.
Maersk Training introduced an upgrade to its training management services earlier this year, improving skills processes for companies, and reintroduced its modular training units, providing an efficient and safer solution for training of delegates.
The new training agreement will allow Maersk Training to manage the varied training needs of the 1,000 employees of Boskalis Subsea Services.
Boskalis provides integrated subsea services to a diverse customer base across the offshore energy industry, operating a global fleet of dive and construction support vessels through a diverse range of subsea MRI services.
Stephen Ferguson, Acting Sales Manager at Maersk Training UK, said: âThe fact that Boskalis Subsea Services recognizes us as their preferred partner to manage training requirements is a testament to the quality provided by our team, coupled with our fantastic facilities. “
Natalie Carroll, Global Competence & Training Manager at Boskalis Subsea Services said: âThe Boskalis team has long admired Maersk Training.
“The team is well positioned geographically to help manage our training needs, while using innovative solutions to ensure that our technical, health and safety standards are of the highest level.”
